Happy Easter, everyone! My name is Nic and I'm brand new at this game. I'm bringing in Logan Parrish, a new precognition student. I've got a profile up for him in his journal but in a nutshell, he used to own a farm in Kansas but lost it recently for financial reasons. He's been in denial of his ability all of his life but after he dreamt about his mother getting into a bad car accident, which she then died from, he's realized he needs to come to terms with what he can do. He's had a rough time before coming to the Institute being depressed by his mother's death (which he feels partly responsible because he didn't do anything to stop it) and is having horrible sleep problems because that's when his visions happen.

I am a huge plot bunny so basically anything you want to throw at me, I am probably game for. I really would like to write threads where he starts working through some of his issues (on top of being a precog, he's gay and has never dealt with that either). Some sort of mentorship for dealing with precognitive abilities would be great. It would also be great if someone outgoing could latch onto him to get him to be social because he tends to be very serious and introverted even when he's not all depressed. I would love to see a friendship grow with someone who is completely the opposite of him and gets him to lighten up. Dude needs to relax so he can sleep! Clashing with people who irk him is totally welcome too. I love playing out conflict!

Hello hello!

I'm new here. You lovelies can call me Owlet, and I'm bringing in this little blue-eyed basketcase, Robin Kennicot. Robin is Riley's fraternal twin sister, who has followed her in prime co-dependent fashion to the Institute. Probably for the better, because boy does she need help.

Robin (who goes by Robbie for all intents and purposes) is a telepath who has been driven into social seclusion by her ability. She can hear the surface thoughts of everyone within ten-ish feet of her, and as we all know, most people's surface thoughts can be maddening. She can also project her thoughts (which is primarily how she communicates with Riley), but she has ZERO professional discipline or training- which brings me to the biggest side-effect of her problem. Cerebral Overload. When Robin is in some kind of distress (be it pain, fear, anger, high emotion, whatever), she has a tendency to fuck with the brainwaves of everyone around her. She can inadvertently cause lack of focus (think mental static), lapses in short-term memory, headaches, vertigo, full blown migraines, all that fun stuff.

So, there's a reason girl has very few friends. Her default is an automatic disdain/hatred for just about everyone, but she has a few saving graces, especially around truly good/innocent people.

So I'd love me some plot!

So, this is Kelly, again. XD With my third boy (who is shockingly NOT an Alexander!), Tobin Grey. Tobin is an automatic writer, and while you may see him around the Institute sometimes, he spends most of him time working on his New York Times Bestseller novels. (None of them have reached #1, but he's had a #15, a #8, and an #3. He's hoping the next book will actually hit #1, since that's always the goal. For those that would have read the books, they're called (collectively) the Stone House Series, and are urban fantasy/paranormal. (I'll have more info up about them soon!)

So, as far as wanted lines: anyone he's helped when he worked full-time at the Institute (which would be like five years ago now), friends, fans that he has connected with because they're attached to the Institute... Or anything else you can think of. XD I'm open.

Unfortunately, I think I need to admit defeat. I have had a series of life events that have kept me away from the game, and it just doesn't seem like that's going to change. I came in with the best of intentions, but I haven't yet managed things I discussed with people a month ago, so...I think it's only fair to let my precious Ira go and free up Dylan is someone else wants to claim his beautiful face.

I appreciate the patience everyone has shown me and I'm sorry to do this, but it isn't fair to sit on Dylan when I'm not really able to do the things I want, and promise to do, with Ira. Love to all!

I'm very excited to be here and can't wait to get started writing. I will go ahead and warn you now that I'm not the best when it comes to condensing an entire character into just a few sentences. This is Kelly, with my second boy (and second Alexander, for that matter). This is Alexander Fowler (who often goes by Xand or Xander), who is a UFC Fighter that has gone on hiatus for a bit to come to town to see his best friend/the love of his life, Jovi. He's going to probably try to get hired locally so he can stay around, but for now he's kind of up in the air as far as life goes.

For now, he's going to be around the Institute when it comes to Jovi, and will be all over town, so he can easily meet up with people there. :D It'll be a little difficult until he makes some friends around campus, but I can't imagine that will take long, considering.

Sorry I've been quiet lately but work has been horrible this week! Anyone want to scene with Lucas here? Or is there an open scene that he can tag into?

Hey, guys. So, this is Jasper Briggs. He's gonna be an instructor at the institute. His ability is precognition, but it's situation, so he generally gets waking visions of locations more so than actual people. He sees what's going on in any given room at any given future point in time, more so than foreseeing events about people. He's from Alaska, but he attended the institute when he was younger, and then he went off to California and was a firefighter for a while and got married (and then separated) and now he's back to give back. He's kinda basically just a chill bros bro who does what feels fun. But now he's in charge of mentoring young minds, so that should be fun.

So he needs everything, friends, people he rubs the wrong way, young minds to mentor. Whatever else you guys can think of. I'd advise checking out his bio, but I'm still working on that a bit, but I'm open to nearly everything.

Hey there everyone, my name's Dielon, new to roleplaying but I used to write a lot when I was younger, hadn't felt the urge in a while but this seems like a good outlet! My character is Arthur Matheson, a 39 year old instructor at the Institute, specializing in telepathy. He's had his ability since he was 21, didn't exactly use it for good, but in his later life he wants to help the younger generation not make the mistakes he did. He's a fairly reserved person, but he's not an asshole (or at least he tries not to be :P).

I'm new to this community, but not new to the RP scene. I was intrigued by this place, figured I would give it a try. This gentlemen here is Ezra Nolan Salomão (PB; Theo James). 31, a lawyer who recently turned instructor for the institute and is legal representative for the institute when need be. He's a single father of two beautiful girls, currently going through a nasty divorce. He's an A Class asshole to the bone. He dislikes women, hell, he dislikes everyone. He only shows the softer side of Sears with his daughters or to his close friends.

His ever so lovely ability is: Retro-cognition. He's disliked the moment he knew he had it. Most times his power proved him of some use when dealing with court cases. You can read more about him here.

Ezra is open to lines/plotting. If you want something solid with him, let's plot away. Otherwise, if you want organic you'll be on the receiving end of him being a pure asshole to you. He may even make you cry, he's made me cry and I play the mutha effer, hahaaha!

Augh. Hi. I'm Misha, and I've been AWOL/MIA or whatever you want to call it. Real Life kind of kicked me in the butt. Between work and sick and then a little bout of depression over things going on in another state (family, arg), and this weekend, just when I thought I was getting my head above water, a very dear friend landed her ornery 89 year old self in hospital with a "not good" prognosis, but the old girl is a feisty one, and refused to stay down. As of today, she seems to be on the mend, though the doctor says to be cautiously optimistic...I at least feel like I'm making my way out of the funk.

Bear with me, I know I have been inactive far too long. But I'm still here, still want to play! And I appreciate your patience and understanding and all that good stuff. I am dead beat tonight (three days sitting around at the hospital is brutal) but I'm going to try to give Ira an open tomorrow.

Hi guys! I'm so excited to get back to playing. I've not played on IJ in years but I've been needing to get back to writing more and this always helped churn the muses.

My name is Lexi, I'm in Arizona so half the year I'll be one length of time from most of you and the other half I'll be a different length of time (unless you're in Arizona or another place that doesn't do DST). My AIM is WonderLexxi, feel free to add me (I don't have a character specific one but this one is almost always on so if I'm away and don't reply, I'm not ignoring you, I just left my desk with the program running I'll reply when I get back :).

So, the character I'm bringing you is an automatic drawer... not like the kind in your dresser but the kind that works with a pen or pencil. She comes from a poor family, single, drunk, abusive mother who had her committed when she was 19. (Institutionalized instead of imprisoned for trumped up assault charges, not sure which is worse) After an outburst in the ward her stay was made more permanent, or it would have been if it wasn't for a nurse who was willing to think outside the box, some lawyers and The Institute (The Bennet one, not the state one).

Anyhow, she's, not 27 and spent the last month in seclusion at the institute (save for staff) while she came down off the meds she'd been on and given a little time to come to terms with all the life changes and is now joining the rest of the 'population' and moving into the dorms.

Anyhow totally up for any scenes. Really excited to play again :). Thanks for having me here!!
